Well, this has been quite a December. Now that it's wrapping up, might as well write about it!

First and foremost, the Fall 09 semester is over at college. I've been in suspense about my grades since the 16th... or rather, my grade. English ended in October (7-week course) and I aced that, and I've had no problems with Intro to Programming, it was my First Year Experience course. We had a genealogy project where we had to learn how to do research and then use that knowledge to find information on an ancestor and their country of origin. I had a lot of difficulty getting very specific information on the district of Poland that was once known as Galicia, and I had completely forgotten to do a poster display that went with this research paper. I feel like I totally half-assed the paper as well, but I turned it in nonetheless simply because something is better than nothing. Despite this, however, I got a B+ in that course; grades were posted online just today. I am so relieved.

I had gotten a speeding ticket at the end of November; I got caught going 63 MPH in a 45 zone. Since the speed was so high, I got a court date for it on the 8th, and had been sweating it the entire time between the ticket and the court date. Luckily for me, they dropped the case; the DA figured it was okay to let it slide since it was my first offense in the two and a half years I've been driving. Whew.

Christmas was also good. Given the state of the economy and the financial crisis I'm in, I wasn't expecting to give or get anything, but I got some awesome gifts anyway and had a great time visiting the family, despite getting owned by the common cold. I'm very thankful for all of the necessities and cash I got, but I have to say, my favorite gift this year had to have been this shirt.

Right now I'm generally just talking it easy, getting ready for the Spring 09 semester and trying to find a better job. My hours have been cut, most likely due to fault of my own; the end of the semester got to me and I had to call out of work twice in two weeks, not to mention that I got sick too. Ugh.
